再開後は一部のシリーズを除き、これまで“定番シリーズ“として展開してきた器のオンライン掲載を終了し、定番シリーズは京都の実店舗でのみお取り扱いしていく予定です。

Notice of Temporary Suspension of TOKINOHA Online Store
TOKINOHA Online Store will be temporarily closed as we reimagine it, starting October 1, 2025.
We are planning to reopen around November, though the exact date has not yet been decided. Once the reopening is confirmed, we will announce it via our newsletter, LINE, and social media channels.
After reopening, with the exception of a few series, the items previously offered as our standard collections will no longer be available online. These collections will instead be exclusively available at our physical store in Kyoto.

オンラインストア再編成の理由
この度、TOKINOHAはオンラインストアに掲載する商品を大幅に見直すことにしました。
いくつか理由はありますが、一番大きな理由は、TOKINOHAの器の特徴である「手仕事のあたたかみ」をオンラインで十分に表現することが難しいと感じたためです。
現在、窯から焼き上がった器は、二段階の検品を行っています。
まず第一段階では、私たちが設定した品質基準を満たしているかどうかを確認します。
通常であれば、この検品のみで十分なはずですが、私たちはさらに第二段階として、「ECサイトに掲載できるか」という検品を行っています。具体的には、サイト上の写真と大きく異ならないか、色味に差が出すぎていないかをチェックします。
品質としては全く問題がないものでも、ECサイトの写真と色味が違うと掲載を見送るケースが多くあります。
「写真と色味が異なる場合があります」という注意書きを添えて販売していましたが、それでも稀に「思っていた色と違うので返品したい」というお声をいただくことがありました。

Reason for restructuring our online store
We have decided to significantly downsize TOKINOHA’s online store.
The main reason is that it is difficult to fully express the warmth of handmade work through an online platform.
Currently, every piece is checked twice after firing.
The first check ensures it meets our quality standards.
Normally this would be enough, but we also do a second check to see if the piece can be listed online—whether the color matches the photos and if there are no major differences.
Even when the quality is perfect, many pieces are not listed because the color looks different from the photos.
Although we added notes like “Colors may vary,” we still occasionally received requests for returns from customers who felt the piece looked different than expected.
ゆらぎこそが器の魅力
数としては本当に少ないのですが、私たちは少しずつ「そうしたすれ違い自体を事前に防ぎたい」と考えるようになり、結果として二重の検品が常態化しました。
しかし、TOKINOHAの器は、複数の職人が一つひとつ手作業でつくるからこそ生まれる微妙な差、釉薬の揺らぎが魅力の一つです。
窯という“ブラックボックス“で焼き上げる最後の工程によって、仕上がりは神のみぞ知るものになります。ある意味では、野菜や果物に似ているかもしれません。人間がどれだけ均一さを目指しても、自然との対話の中で必ず個性が生まれます。
私たちは、その個性を「はみ出し」として排除するのではなく、むしろ唯一無二の個性として愛でる文化を広げていきたいと思っています。

Such cases are rare, but to prevent misunderstandings, the double inspection became routine.
However, the true charm of TOKINOHA pieces lies in the subtle differences created by handwork and the variations in glaze.
The kiln, like a “black box,” determines the final result—something only nature can decide. In this sense, it may be similar to fruits or vegetables: no matter how much uniformity is pursued, individuality always appears in dialogue with nature.
